Euro Growth Indicator December 2017

Peak of euro area growth in the fourth quarter 2017

The December Euro Growth Indicator estimate sees euro area growth accelerating to 0.9 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2017. The first estimate of the Indicator for the first quarter of 2018 suggest that that the economic Expansion in the euro area will continue, but at a more moderate pace of 0.5 per cent.

EUROFRAME Conference 2018: Call for Papers

The 15th EUROFRAME Conference on Economic Policy Issues in the European Union will be held on 8 June 2017 in Milan (Italy).

The conference will deal with "Economic Policies and Political Economy after the Crisis in the EU". Submissions deadline: 15 February 2018.

Euro Growth Indicator November 2017

Euro area economy expected to accelerate further in the fourth quarter 2017

With the EUROSTAT flash estimate at 0.6 percent for the third quarter 2017, Euro area GDP came in slightly below the Euro Growth Indicator estimate of 0.7 percent. In the fourth quarter, euro area growth will further accelerate to 0.9 percent, according to the Indicator's November estimate.

Euro Growth Indicator October 2017

Euro area economy remains in high gear

Robust economic growth in the euro area will continue at least until the end of this year, according to the October Euro Growth Indicator. GDP is forecast to grow by 0.7 per cent in both the third and the fourth quarter of 2017. On a year-over-year basis growth would accelerate to 2.5 per cent by the end of this year.
