The Euro Growth Indicator is calculated by EUROFRAME and published by Financial Times Deutschland.
The purpose of this leading indicator is to anticipate the development of the GDP in the euro area two quarters ahead of official statistics. The indicator considers surveys from the industry, the retail and construction sectors, the short term real interest rate (in relation to the GDP growth rate), the real exchange rate of the euro to the dollar, a raw material price index and the US ISM.

The aim of the Conference is to discuss the current state and short-term prospects of the euro area economy and to contribute to the debate on topical issues for European macroeconomic policies. It is a one-day event where a EUROFRAME forecast for the euro area is presented at a Press Conference in the morning, followed in the afternoon by a roundtable discussion with invited experts on a topic of high public interest. EUROFRAME members, academics, policymakers and journalists are invited to attend. As a rule, the Conference takes place in November at the premises of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin).
